Bill Saul is retired, but stays active professionally by volunteering with not-for-profits that are managing their way through significant transitions. He was President & CEO of Kids Help Phone from 1998 to 2006. Prior to that, Bill spent more than thirty years in the Canadian advertising industry, during which time he served as Vice-President of Ogilvy & Mather, Managing Director of Hayhurst Advertising, and Vice-Chairman & COO of the DDB Needham Canada.
Bill specialized in providing marketing and communications strategic counsel to consumer product and service companies. Bill worked in Tanzania on a CIDA contract in 1970 – 1972. He has a BA in Political Science and Economics from the University of Toronto and an MBA from McMaster.
Bill has served on the Boards of Oxfam Canada, the Alzheimer Society of Canada and Children’s Mental Health Ontario, of which he was Chair in 2009/10. He is currently on the Board of Community Food Centres Canada. He has been active in politics over the years, including having been Co-Director of Advertising on the National PC Campaign Committee during the 1984 election.
