Massoud Hassani won the 2012 Design Of The Year award with  ‘Mine Kafon’, a $40.00 wind powered landmine clearing concoction that has the potential to revolutionize the prohibitive cost of demining.


The unique device is made of sustainable bamboo sticks exploding out of a plastic centre with an integrated GPS device. It rolls over the land deactivating mines while keeping check of clean paths.
