What Can I do?
One of the most compelling reasons to take action is that the Landmine Crisis can be solved. Since the Ottawa Treaty in 1997 156 countries have made it illegal to produce, use or trade in the weapon. Trade has gone from 43 countries trading in 1995 to 0 today. Use has dropped from approximately 100 countries in 1990 to 2 last year. 62 million landmines in stockpile have been destroyed.
