From April 29th to May 8th 2024, Team 6 held 24 risk education sessions in five different villages in Ou Svay Commune, Trapeang Prasat District of Oddar Meanchey province. 827 people including workers at a job site in Sae Som Village and school children in Ou Svay Village, learned how to keep themselves and their friends and family safe from forgotten explosives.
Explosive ordnance risk education teaches people how to recognize and avoid unexploded weapons, even if they’ve been buried and forgotten for decades. Because when you live with landmines, knowing how to spot one is a matter of life and death.
