On November 11th 2024, Team 6 held 3 risk education sessions in Lumtong Village, Lumtong Commune, Anlong Vaeng District of Oddar Meanchey province.
This was the last stop in Team 6’s first visit to Lumtong Commune, where almost 1,300 people in ten villages attended risk education sessions. In Lumtong village itself, 160 people attended sessions.
Explosive ordnance risk education teaches people how to recognize and avoid unexploded weapons, even if they’ve been buried and forgotten for decades. Because when you live with landmines, knowing how to spot one is a matter of life and death.
